Texas Consumer Rights Attorney Daniel Michael Schafer

Texas Consumer Rights Attorney Daniel M. Schafer

Daniel earned his law degree from Saint Mary’s University School of Law and attended Crown College where he earned a degree in Management & Ethics.

Daniel started helping people by practicing law under attorney supervision in his third year of law school and graduated near the top of his class.  Within days of being a licensed attorney, Daniel negotiated a six-figure settlement in his first debt collection harassment case.  At first he focused his law practice on helping people who were being harassed by debt collectors and creditors.  Because of his excellent results and customer service his clients requested other services from him.  He expanded his law practice to include cases involving consumer defense in debt lawsuits, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Texas Debt Collection Act (TDCA), the Texas Deceptive Trade Practice – Consumer Protection Act (DTPA), renter’s rights, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and identity theft issues. Because of the financial problems that hit so many people during Covid-19 shutdowns, he now focuses solely on helping people with debt lawsuits.

Daniel’s firm litigates aggressively and works tirelessly for his clients to achieve the best outcome and highest level of client service. Daniel has represented consumers in over 5,000 debt collection lawsuits with a result of either winning at trial or having the lawsuit dismissed in more than 99% of those cases.  He has successfully represented hundreds of clients, obtaining settlements or judgments against debt collectors, creditors, landlords and other businesses.  Not every case is highly litigated but it helps to have an attorney who can handle cases from the most contested litigation case to the simple settlement.

Daniel Schafer is admitted to practice law in Texas and Washington as a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Washington State Bar Association.
